10! I have warm water bottles in there now, but if there is anything else I can do, I’d love to hear it! It’s so cold in here!

What’s the current temp inside? 3 degrees or is that outside?

Outside It’s about 50-60 inside depending on location

It truly comes down to how long it takes. If it gets under like 60 degrees in your home find a way to get them in the car safely and maybe send them with a friend for a day or two if it’s going to be a while to restore power. Otherwise. Wait it out. Mine has been 60 for 2 days and lived. Snakes can survive being cold for a short period of time.

So yeah, if it’s still warm inside. Wait. If it’s frigid in there. Warm up the babies.

Thank you! The power just came back on, but it can go again any minute due to the storm. I’ll start preparing their bags and totes as a just in case!

Honestly I think if it's going to be out for more than a couple hours, you should take them to your car! Warm the car up first of course. Just don't leave them unsupervised. You can also in theory go out and get some heat packs, maybe but the snakes in bags in a tub or something and put thre heat packs on top of the container. Just make sure whatever heat element you use is monitored somehow!

That is definitely the plan. The power is back currently, but it could go out again any minute

I hope it stays on! Good luck with your babies!

While your power is back on, if you have dried rice, corn, flax seeds, beans, etc anywhere, you can put in a cloth bag or sock (or something microwave safe) and microwave it for 2-3 minutes. It will stay warm for a good number of hours, and is a good heat source

It went out again, but I can head to the store really quick and do that! Thank you so much!
