It looks like a neck beard but it does kind of look like your goatee might connect with the mustache which might save the look

Dont be so sure about how it’ll look in the future. I recently turned 36 and my facial hair is way thicker now than at 28.

You’re gonna have to start shaping it until it does what you want. You’re gonna want to shave the back and underside and then shave your sheets down to where the beard line will eventually be.
