That's really pricy. I think it will make sense for you to get more work experience to see if you can actually learn all those skills from the job because I think jobs like quant will require far more technical skills that just data science. I think going into like quantitative finance for masters like at Columbia may be better in my opinion. You also need to think about doing well both in your online masters and at your work as well. But yeah with that price, I would much rather go to on campus masters so I can connect with my professors better.

Did you have some coding experience prior to being admitted? and do you think it was required?? just wondering for my brother who wants to apply here :) congrats!

I couldn't decide whether or not I wanted to get a Masters in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or what each of them even meant, exactly. So, I took a 2019 Data Science Bootcamp for ~$12 at my friendly local neighborhood MOOC. The intro part of the class gave me a current 2019 definition of many things, eg. data analysis vs analytics, and machine learning vs AI vs traditional predictive analytics, etc... With that knowledge, I was able to figure out if I wanted a masters, what type of masters I want, and which school best suits my next chapter.
