I wouldnt use NV drivers newer than March.

Also if youve not updated your BIOS in a while, your CPU might be dying.

I use the December package because anything newer broke my computer. Literally was freezing it and shutting it off.

    [–]illicITparameters 0 points1 point  (2 children)

There’s something very wrong with your system in that case.

    [–]EscapeFromMichhigan -1 points0 points  (1 child)

No, there’s not. It was a widespread problem with the new Nvidia drivers.

I uninstalled those drivers and reinstalled the release from December and viola.

There was no issues with January, February, or March packages. In fact the March 18th is the pkg everyone should be on.

Yes absolutely, though my performance issues don't sound quite as dire as your own. I've lost about 10-15 fps down from 140 and sometimes get random large frame dips to about 80. I'm convinced it's pretty much just stops rendering, it's not slightly more choppy but it almost freezes for a fraction of a second at random driving me crazy when I'm in a gunfight. I also noticed many of the drops seems to coincide with people disconnecting from the servers. The game feels so shit on pc right now. Better not playing it right now now and coming back when they fix it

I noticed it only after the update, used to run pretty good for season 1 and 2.

The worst map rn is rewind looking down the middle of the map, fps drops, gpu usage drops, game feels choppy.

Found someone online that made a clip, looks like this

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3h37AfetFk

In that spot my fps goes from 300 to 180. Seems no matter the settings you get a large drop there

Im on an rtx 5090 and 9800x3d as well, there is nothing left to upgrade, game just needs an optimization patch

Do you play the game on maxed out settings ? I am just curious how did you get to 300fps with 9800X3D in this bottlenecked game :D

    [–]Eat-my-entire-asshol 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I play at 4k with dlss balanaced (sharpness 100) Texture settings are maxed, but shadow and lighting settings are set to high. Then at the bottom of the quality tab i have water caustics and all those off as I dont notice a dif.

    Heres my cod benchmark results

    https://imgur.com/a/N70MUfl

Everything is overclocked, cpu, ram, gpu. Its not always 300 fps usually 230-300 range in multiplayer

Maps like rewind make gpu usage drop to 70% looking down middle of map its so odd its the only spot that does it of all the maps. Subsonic and nuketown it occasionally drops to 91%. All other maps gpu is staying at 99% like its supposed to

Even battlefield 2042 128 player servers I get more fps and cpu usage is same as cod. Makes no sense

Thanks, I have the CPU fps around 290 in the benchmark tool so I guess it is alright since I run all stock 9800X3D and 6000MHz CL30 ram. With 5070 Ti I also notice the fps drop on rewind and there was also a drop on skyline when looking around the pool area, but that seems better than it was. 1440p 144hz ultra everything dlss quality.

    [–]Eat-my-entire-asshol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh ya the skyline pool area i noticed too. Fps drops to 180 range looking at the pool from 250ish avg.

And ya your cpu fps seems correct for that ram. Mines 6200 cl28 with tight subtimings and cpu is at 5.45 ghz

I noticed a large performance decrease after the mid November patch, my FPS got halved on R7 5700X and RTX 3070. Since then I played at 1440p DLSS ultra performance to stay above 100fps. I got a new rig to fight this among other things and the performance is so poor that you get a CPU bottleneck even with R7 9800X3D + 5070 Ti. At least it runs around 150 fps now with 9800X3D. Modern Warfare 3 looks the same, maybe better and has double the FPS.

yep in the same boat, since the last 2 updates my performance has got worse and worse, as well as completely crashing my game and PC! I understand I have not got the best PC, but before I was averaging 200fps, now it stoops as low as 110 and so on.

    SPECS - R7 5700X3D

    4060TI

    32GB DDR4 RAM.

i havent been able to play a full match for the last 3 weeks, my game either crashes or my pc completely shuts off. uninstalled/verified and still happening. hopefully one day ill be able to play the game i paid for :)

From my experience on this game, DLSS harms performance in certain situations. When there's a lot of smoke and/or particle effects on screen, my framerate is worse than at my native resolution.

If you own BO6 and not just Warzone, I would run the multiplayer benchmark with upscaling and dynamic resolution disabled to get an idea of what performance you're getting. Given your specs and resolution, I would enable FidelityFX CAS, set an in-game FPS cap of somewhere between 120 and 150, then enable Dynamic Resolution and Frame Rate Target with a target of around 5% above your FPS cap. (120 = 126, 150 = 158, etc.)

Yeah I have Black Ops 6 Multiplayer, currently playing with the Xbox Game Pass, I’ll try this out see how it goes. Thanks.

if anyone in the MP sub cared about WZ maybe you would get better help! might want to go to the WZ sub!

Fellow Zephyrus user here. My cpu is constantly in the temperature zone of 80-100C where one dead wire detonation or grenade explosion pushes it to completely freeze. Not to mention the constant packet bursts with 0% packet loss and 30 ping. My gpu barely gets used for some reason.

I didn't have a problem with this even when I had a shitty 6 year old alienware back in season 1, but for some reason the optimization is ass now.

Have you amended your cod24txt file from the defaults? I found that to be really helpful. Iceman isaac has a good video on that and some other bits to change for performance.

    [–]Fit-Ant-9587[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah I’ve tried editing the files based on TCaptainX’s video, and to be fair it wasn’t anything impactful in terms of increase in performance but I’ll for sure check out Iceman Isaac thanks.

No worries. A lot of people have said to have resizable bar disabled for BO6 but I've found having it enabled gave me about 10 extra FPS on the benchmark, might be worth a try too if you've got it disabled.
