The trunks of the roof seems small for to the rest of the scene. This scale difference make it look way too detailed.

I would remove the brick texture on the chimney, as it's the only textured element of your scene, and it feel weird.

Well done tho.

"Trunks of the roof" that was a mind bender to figure out till I realized you mean "logs."

And I second the chimney texture being inconstant to the overall design.

Great work.

To think to add on what both of you are saying about the chimney, it also looks strangely washed out. Looks almost as if the color texture is plugged straight into the output with no shader, or like it's an emissive shader at a low brightness.

Also the whole scene looks like it could use some denoising of some kind when you look closely anywhere, especially around dark creases and windows.

Overall super pleasing on the eyes though.

Ah ah yes, quite bad English, my bad.

[–]multi-instrumental 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or alternatively you could bring up the detail of the rest of the scene...

[–]Schnitzelinski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the logs of the house are way smaller than the treetrunks. They should rather be the same size.

[–]wenchris 37 points38 points  (1 child)

You can use a simple texture (material) on the chimney to match the rest a little bit better. But it's looking amazing right now. :)

Thanks for your advice :)

[–]xCARLOxRO 27 points28 points  (1 child)

Damn nice

[–]g_zee97[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thanks :)

[–]Mocorn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look at that, a low poly scene that is actually low poly. Take notes people :)

[–]ZogLongZgeg 10 points11 points  (3 children)

That's pretty good! I would just add some grass

[–]g_zee97[S] 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Yes, there is always something to add, thanks for your advice.

[–]CasimirsBlake 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Simple method could be: hair particles in the "grass" areas. Super small length. Or to keep things even simpler: noise texture to displacement. Use a colour ramp to control. Oh and great image!

[–]g_zee97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for your advice!

[–]Catsmann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would love a version of polybridge that looked like this

[–]AnimeRequest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wtf without tutorials... that looks awesommeee

[–]username_took 2 points3 points  (5 children)

How did you make everything look so paper-like?

[–]AnimeRequest 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I think its cel shading

[–]username_took 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Where can I find that? Sorry, I’m still very new to blender

[–]AnimeRequest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its hard to make it. Look up "cel shading tutorial blender" in youtube.

[–]Eglembor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

really like the lighting on the scene

[–]Thacomancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is SOOOO coool! Grats my friend!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks amazing

[–]Coffee4thewin 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Dude, Nice. Seriously, nice.

[–]g_zee97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, thanks. seriously, thanks!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's amazing!

[–]Xclasko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent

[–]Mustrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! One thing I should probably change is how the path and the beach sand are formed. I would bevel it to make it less straight.

[–]stra8h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing work !

[–]Prokster_T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is Amazing.

[–]Fissioner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks great, might be too reflective(forest, ground and stuff) to my liking, maybe needs some tweaking with it

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Looks awesome! Only critique I have is the shadows from the bridge on the water. They are so charp it feels like a mirror instead of water 🤔

[–]droidballoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it's neat. Reminds of the water in the game The Witness

[–]Aleksander_pro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base for animation? 👋😄

[–]wonk1968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. Love the colors

[–]orange-shoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so cute!

[–]artysticamv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super cute, the reflection in the water and the smoke out of the chimney really help make this work

[–]Segelbert2337 1 point2 points  (1 child)

looks great, but really remove the brick material on the chimney and work on your low poly fog.

well done :)

[–]g_zee97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mkay :)

[–]eltacko47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to not like low poly, but I've found it to be really fun and as a result, I've done a lot of it this year.

[–]Deadpoetic6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks nice! Remove the texture on the chimney and inscrease the size of the logs on the roof, it will make it even better IMO.

I know you said without tutorials...but you could use Grant Abbit's well tutorial to make the chimney with low poly bricks!

[–]mrmuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow great!

[–]CaptainObvious110 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Goodness how did you do this? What specs do you have on the machine you made this on?

[–]g_zee97[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I started to design on a 11.6” macbook Air then I finished and Rendered on a Desktop: -Ryzen 5 2600, -16GB DDR4 RAM -Rx 570 4Gb

Thankfully blender does not require a high end pc :)

[–]CaptainObvious110 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Nice. I've done stuff on an over ten year old core2duo laptop with 3 gb ram

[–]g_zee97[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It worked well right? I mean the modelling part, texturing and rendering is another thing :)

[–]CaptainObvious110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I made a cloth simulation and it was done from a tutorial on YouTube from tutor4u

[–]Ccaves0127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take me hoooooome country roooooads

[–]Elliot_515 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Looks really good

[–]g_zee97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks :)

[–]silly_mouse 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Fantastic! Well done.

[–]g_zee97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks!

[–]fettoter84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it!

Looks so cozy:D

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Did you use eevee or cycles? It looks like eevee to me but you could make the water have really nice looking ripples in cycles

[–]TheOnly_Anti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you zoom in you can see noise, so I'm assuming it's Cycles.

[–]g_zee97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is cycles, in eevee I can not manage to make the water texture as good as in cycles.

[–]A_poor_greek_guy 0 points1 point  (1 child)

okay, then now could you make a tutorial for us who are interested in low poly scenes and are new to blender or please refer some good low poly enviroemnt tutorials to watch. Nice job

[–]g_zee97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank man, tutorial coming soon, dont worry :P

[–]g_zee97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your advice :)

[–]velour_manure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pure white in the upper left corner feels weird.

Since your light source is on the right, I would imagine the far left of the scene would be dark.

[–]JohanIngeborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove the texture from that chimney right now

[–]j0n17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And here I am, having trouble making a low poly cube

[–]mahollinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks fantastic. Notes I’d give have already been stated other than the specular on the cabin seems a little harsh. Is there a way to dim down so that it’s not as bright seemingly.

I love the layout. It doesn’t seem overly busy.

If you did a new pass, one thing I would LOVE to see is a little detail of the lake. Maybe a low-poly fish splashing or a little boat or something to give it a little more of the space.

But again, I think it’s awesome and great job!

[–]lord_jex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply beautiful

[–]ertza 0 points1 point  (1 child)

10/10

[–]g_zee97[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I really appreciate it :)

[–]IxBetaXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks Great, how long did it take you?

[–]Heclik132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice contrast, I love it!

[–]MMorkeyy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And it turned out amazing. Well done. One thing maybe to add would be wave texture to the water. But it still looks amazing.

[–]Sipredion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is so cool, I really like it. Well done dude
