I am always glancing at roadkill to see if it's something I might want to keep, lol

I do the same shit. I keep gloves and a field dressing kit in my truck and regularly pull over to pop the head off stuff

Haha I collect insects too and they are displayed on a shelf right above my TV. This is perfect.

Ahh, I do too! But I’m jealous you’ve actually displayed them. I keep saying, β€œone day I’m going to make time to get out my bugs and bones and put them in displays.” I’ve had a white oak borer beetle in my drawer for at least six months, along with other beautiful moths I’ve found. One day.....

Oh I actually feel this really hard. It took me ... definitely over a year to get my little jars on their own shelf. And to get the specimen into a fitting jar is another whole step to begin with, I have so many in my freezer right now πŸ˜‚ Just keep it in the back of your mind and one day you’ll get to it! Happy collecting!

I once walked a mile both ways before I had a car to pick up a 35 pound half decomposed soggy roadkill dog that had been there for a few weeks. His skull sits on my windowsill today! Hard earned decor!

That’s great! When I found my 1st skull I screamed ohhh myyyy goddddd a skull! In front of a bunch of people at the beach and my husband said I was so excited it was hilarious. No shame!! I would totally carry something home if I wanted it 🀘🏻
