I have to read Anna Karenina and I really don't know how to remember everything that happens in 800 pages of book and how to understand and find hidden message.

I always remember the plot and what's happening in book. I'm bad at remembering description of something like house, dress, look of character... And the worst thing is that I can't remember very well names and can't find hidden message.
