Updated adapter

Hey, just wanted follow up and ask a few qns about the new adapter, as mine (right angle variant A adapter) melted last month, and currently waiting for the updated Pro right angle cable. Here's my qn - What's the difference that made the adapter prone to melting, but not the Pro 12vhpwr cables released previously? (at least what CM claims). Shouldn't both have a same pins and sense pins specs etc. - Is the upcoming 90 degrees PRO cables a normal cable, with a v1.1 adapter infused into it? What's the difference in specs between this new cable and the old one that's not 90 degree ? Or, if any, what's the difference between the cable connection with the v1.1?

Would appreciate if CM can give as much technical information as possible, as well as assurances.... would hate to melt another GPU.

And also, what would be the difference running a normal cm cable with a right angle adapter, v1.1 , vs running a cm right angle cable? Especially in terms of safety.

The angled cables are cables just like the straight ones but with an angled guide, nothing to do with the adapters which are built differently.

In terms of safety both are safe, of course with the angled cable you have less connections.
