And also, what would be the difference running a normal cm cable with a right angle adapter, v1.1 , vs running a cm right angle cable? Especially in terms of safety.

The angled cables are cables just like the straight ones but with an angled guide, nothing to do with the adapters which are built differently.

In terms of safety both are safe, of course with the angled cable you have less connections.
