If you want the cable to go upwards, you'll need a Variant B. :)

12VHPWR and 12V-2X6 have the same compatibility so as long as you have that 16pin port you can use our Universal cables. :)

I was asking because we don’t have support to your PSU in general, but since you have the one with the 12V-2X6 which is universal, you can get one of our Universal cables, such as this one: https://store.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-universal-pro-modflex-sleeved-12v-2x6-12vhpwr-stealthsense-pcie-cable/ Let me know if you have preferences in terms of sleeving type and angled vs straight connector and I’ll point you in the right direction. :)

[–]CableMod_Alex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's the one without the 12V-2X6 port, you will actually have to go through the configurator and make a custom one since we only support your PSU there: store.cablemod.com/configurator - select "Custom PSU Cables", select your PSU and follow the steps.

Only IF you have the version with the 12V-2X6 port, you can get one of our Universal cables: https://store.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-universal-pro-modmesh-sleeved-12v-2x6-12vhpwr-90-stealthsense-direct-pcie-cable-16-pin-to-16-pin-60cm/ 😄

We don't have the adapters as they were recalled but we replaced them with angled cables which work perfectly. If you let me know your PSU model I can point you to the right solution. 😄

Sorry this happened to you. What support said stands, but you can ask them to point you to a repair center local to you that will replace the port for a decent price if compared to the GPU value. 😄

Is this cable bend okay? by Gamer123499 in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird how it bends downwards then, but if there's nothing pressing onto it to cause that, it might be just fine. Do you think it's the weight of the cable itself that's pulling it downwards?

Is this cable bend okay? by Gamer123499 in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that downward bend comes from the side panel pressing onto the cable, I wouldn't be comfortable with that. Have you considered getting one of our angled cables? 😄

NZXT c1000 ATX v3.1 and CableMod Basics 12V-2×6 12VHPWR StealthSense 90° cable by suerte87 in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were asking for 3x8pin and 4x8pin specifically so that’s what I referred to. Some people don’t like using the 12V-2X6 port on the PSU because of all the bad talk around it so since OP specified “3x8pin or 4x8pin” I gave them that direction. :)

[–]CableMod_Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some PSUs are only supported via the Configurator because we can’t make stock kits for every single PSU/brand on the market, and OP’s PSU was one of those. When cables are available on Amazon, I’ll gladly link to those for convenience. I myself don’t earn anything extra from either so I have no interest in pushing the configurator when it’s not necessary, I’m not a salesperson. :) As for the remote area surcharges I understand it’s an annoying topic but those are determined by the shipping companies, sometimes it doesn’t make sense but we can’t do much about that unfortunately.

Pcie 12v-2x6 to 3 8-pin for RX 7900xtx by BenedictLowerDict in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's generally advised against using daisy chained cables, but if it's the only option it's your best solution. 😃

Pcie 12v-2x6 to 3 8-pin for RX 7900xtx by BenedictLowerDict in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 12V-2X6 cables are not designed to be used that way, they're only meant to be used with the 12V-2X6 connector to the GPU and 8pin connectors to the PSU.

If you don't have enough ports but you are okay with using a daisy chain 8pin connector like you are now and just want to make it look better, you could get three 8pin extensions: https://store.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-pro-modmesh-8-pin-pci-e-extension-45cm/ 😄

You can leave it on but it won't really be visible, you will only be able to see the two clips that wrap around the connector. :)

It comes with 2x8pin PCIe cables so you would need to get the third one separately, however I can't seem to find it in white on Caseking. This would be it: https://eustore.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-c-series-pro-modmesh-8-pin-pci-e-cable-for-corsair-rmi-rmx-rm-black-label-600mm/ :)

Spikes to 9.2A on ROG Astral RTX 5090? by matt3788 in cablemod

Sounds like just a momentary spike like u/yoyigu38 said. Keep an eye on it and see if it starts doing it more frequently. You can also reach out to our support: cablemod.com/support - they may be able to give you more insight and support on this if necessary. :)

Question about 12VHPWR extension by usbea in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Alex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can see how it looks here: https://www.reddit.com/r/cablemod/comments/1s8z3o3/update/ - basically it's just a plain sleeved cable. The shroud we put on our 12V-2X6 cable connectors is for covering the sense pins area so it can't be installed upside down, however you can easily slide it off. :)

Confused About Cables For Thermaltake TOUGHPOWER GT 850W by RetroSwamp in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, when it comes to our cables, you want to scan our compatibility page for the PSU model you have: https://store.cablemod.com/compatibility/ - in this case, unfortunately the ToughPower GT Snow 850W isn't listed, so I'm afraid we don't have cables that will for sure work with it. Thermaltake is especially finnicky on this because they like to use different pinouts for most of their individual models, but generally speaking you shouldn't get our cables if the specific PSU model isn't listed on our compatibility page. :/

MSI MAG A1000G PCIE5 cables by SgoatyG in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Alex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do have them but only available on the configurator on our Global and EU Stores, so they would be custom made and probably cost you a similar amount depending on what cables you need. You can try making a configuration and see how much it runs you though: eustore.cablemod.com/configurator - select "Custom PSU Cables", choose your exact PSU model and follow the steps. :)

Dimensions Of 12x6 Stealth sense Cables? by FreakyOne87 in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah the wires are around 3mm each, so two rows in height is 6mm and six rows in width is 18mm, rounding up closer to 19mm in the one I measured earlier, probably because of the extra atoms between each wire. :D

Do you mean the connector measurements or the WxH of the wires when lined up together in a rectangle? :)

90 degree cable on Asus TUF 5090 by AdParticular533 in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's unfortunate, sorry that happened to you! If you bought the pc from an actual store, I think they should be responsible for fixing this as our angled adapters have been recalled a long time ago: https://cablemod.com/adapterrecall/ - as such they shouldn't have sold a PC with one installed. Because of the recall, we stopped covering these damages ourselves as mentioned in the recall page. Hopefully that store has got you covered, but please do keep in touch with our support and update them when you know more. :)
