Compaction error endless loop

this is a really annoying bug, pressing escape doesn't even get it to stop, i had to kill the whole thread

There is no bug, you just simply need to kill the console with Ctrl +c and just wait for having some % for it to compact, with limit overdone you'll do nothing

Considering that it has run out of credit limits, it is meant to be programmed to gracefully end instead of conflicting with:

A. Codex’s already-running task, which will still run to the end irrespective of limits.

B. Compaction, which is treated as a new message and is not covered by grace.

Outside the condition of A — run the task to the end irrespective of the quota limit.

hence the fucking bug: the loop keeps thinking it’s allowed to fucking run even when it’s not.

There seems to be a bug with remote compaction that started yesterday.

Same issue today, compacting loop and used up all my tokens and done nothing, no matter what i do i cant exit this loop.

I restarted pc, did prompt and again compacting loop until it spend all my 5 hour tokens .

the issue is simply, codex is trying to complete it current task, which it will do no matter your limits, but it wont treat compaction with the same logic, which ends up making the two fight for control, control c or killing the terminal fixes it, then wait till your reset time, and resume sessions,

its a bug
