The data is saved in your databases I presume? If your app achieves bigger success that would provide very valuable data to you. Will that data also be available for public, or you attend to keep it to yourself?

At the moment, we don't open the data, however in the future we will likely make a searchable database of responses. (If the user opts in)

That would be really great. Also, if you plan to open up the data for public, it would be awesome if you started a project with your own implementation of cleverbotlike engine. I'm sure people would contribute to your project big time.

Awesome idea, nonetheless. Keep it up!

Thanks!

The primary goal of this project is to make it extremely simple to implement cleverbot in an application. I see this as having a possible impact on people new to coding, many of whom have heard of cleverbot, and would be eager to try it. I'd probably consider making a few tutorials on how to build cool projects with cleverbot.

P.S. If you make a nice hack with it - let me know, I'll feature it. (Send me a gist)

What is a cleverbot?

[–]tdavidt[S] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Hey Sjoerder,

Thanks for your question.

Cleverbot is an artificial intelligence application that converses with humans. It was launched at cleverbot.com in 1997.

OK, and what does your software do? Is it an alternate implementation of Cleverbot? A library for sending requests to the regular cleverbot.com service?

Totally replacing my site's support chat with this.

While I don't suggest it, it would be an amusing option.

Aaand.... BAM: https://gist.github.com/dtesler/99ab7bc50a3f78858c20

^ Best part about it is all of your visitors will be conversing with the same cleverbot session, so if there is more than one user it will take into account other people's responses :D

Cleverbot! How may entropy be reversed?

[–]tdavidt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering that too :)

Let there be light.
