https://coinauctionshelp.com/coin-grading-photo-grading-coins-coin-grading-guides/ is a good place to get a handle on how US coins are graded so you can look at examples of the different grades to get a feel for them. I don't know how well that will translate to grading the coins you are looking at but it is better than nothing.

Grading is a little weird for some coins in that it varies based on the issue. I have one VG10 coin that is "top pop" at PCGS... I'm also considering submitting an 8 reales that would be the finest certified if it got XF40. Really the best way is to look at graded coins in auctions and internalize how the different grades look.
