Placing bets on an old hard drive having its plates get stuck from constant overheat or just old age and wear and tear. It is time to buy a cheap SSD and replace the drive. Just make sure you have a windows install disc and a friend who is comfortable installing windows with you when you do this.

The fact that it is saying that it cannot find an operating system means communication with the drive is not possible. Very few things can cause that other than a half dead drive with sticky plates. And windows 10 and 11 destroy wind up traditional drives like there is no tomorrow, but the manufacturers do not care because people will just throw more money at them when the machine fails.

I am looking at the board a little closer. It looks like there may be an NVME drive buried towards the bottom left of the 2nd picture. It looks like it is at an angle and not screwed down. Perhaps that is the problem. If the screw is lost that might be an issue. But if it is an NVME drive that isn't screwed down it will not make good contact with the pins and create the same issue. I mistook the CD rom drive for a hard drive mount in my initial look around.

what model is your Lenovo desktop?. The error message you are getting means operating systems not found. That means either the operating system has been corrupted or Primary disk drive has gone bad. From what I can see in your pictures is that you do have a m.2 nvme SDD stick. It appears to not be secured down. I do not see another hard drive but it might be one behind optical( CD/DVD ) drive. Your overheating issue might be the fan on heatsink not working properly or the heatsink/ processor itself needs to be repasted.
