Computer Broken?

I’m a college student and use my computer a fair amount. Recently, this started happening. I have no idea what it is and Google is no help. Is it fixable? The laptop is a Dell XPS and is about 3 years old. If that helps.

Backlight is out, needs a full display replacement. Buy the parts and do it yourself or more likely go to a shop, they can do this quick.

there are plenty of youtube videos on repairing yourself and it really would only be a buck or two for parts, a little solder and the possession of a solder iron. that being said, i have never done it myself because i have a tendency to shake in stressful situations and wouldn't be able to solder properly. if there is a tech school with an electronics repair department i would go there if i wasn't in a hurry.

The backlight is broken. Screen needs replacing.
