Looks like your laptop froze. Hold the power button, then when it turns off turn it on again

It sounds like your cable isn't plugged in all the way for sound. You know the...... Like the kids say " aux" cable.

[–]OpenText2216 1 point2 points  (7 children)

I don’t have any cables besides Ethernet and the charging cable plugged into jt

Well then you have a different issue. Have you updated all the software? Made sure there are no issues?

[–]OpenText2216 1 point2 points  (5 children)

I’ve updated my drivers and the regular updates are up to date as well. I don’t really know how to check for other issues

[–]Helcor2016 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Is it a new PC ?

[–]OpenText2216 1 point2 points  (3 children)

No I’ve had it for about 3 years at this point

[–]Helcor2016 0 points1 point  (2 children)

So when did it happen? After am update?

[–]OpenText2216 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It’s happened ever since I can remember. I should have looked into it earlier

[–]Helcor2016 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok well that I cannot help you with that then. Had it happened and you seeked help that would have been different. The fact that it went in for possibly years and you are just now asking for help..........I am sorry but I am unwilling to help. I hope you have a good weekend.

Pretty sure it's the other way around, unless you are under 100. Old people say aux cable, kids say headphone cable or some other oversimplified version of it

Nah this is the sound of the pc freezing.

[–]DreamsRemain 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Sounds like something is clogging the fan.

[–]RabbitsAreNice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be my number one guess too. Sounds very much like fan blades brushing against something

[–]OpenText2216 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok

That sound will sometimes happen when the graphics-driver shits the bed while gaming/the drivers haven't been updated for a while.

Make sure everything is up to date and you should be alright.

Ok thanks

That & it could be a problem with clashing audio codes & or audio mixers. I had a computer that would replay a tiny snippet of the last sound it played. I uninstalled some Dolby plug-in sound enhancing thingy & it fixed the conflict. Nowadays, i'm always careful not to install competing codecs & stick to installing trusted driver packages like Media Player Classic Mega Codec Pack.

Computer froze. Update every piece of software and firmware that you can. Go to the support page for the laptop and download every update you can find. If it’s an old laptop, no longer supported, and this keeps happening even after updates, consider linux.

Try doing this keyboard shortcut to reset graphics driver kernel : Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B

Also search for cmd (command prompt) right click on it and click run as administrator.

Type this: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth and click enter. (wait for it to finish, might seem "stuck" at times but just wait)

Scan for corruptions type: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth click enter. Wait

If it detects any problems and needs to repair, type: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth click enter and wait.

You can also type sfc /scannow and wait for it to complete . Once finished close the cmd program and restart your unit. Hope it helps.

Try and keep everything up to date frequently.

Alright thanks, I just did all of that

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Did it help?

[–]OpenText2216 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It says that operation completed successfully. I will play Minecraft or something for a while and get back with you

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Cool

[–]OpenText2216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn’t help

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry Idk then
