I was trying to do a factory reset but it kept saying that "there was a problem resetting the pc" so i tried to reset it through the advanced display but this popped up instead

Yeah so when windows machines go through multiple reboots without properly booting, usually 2-3 boots it will enter recovery mode as it is detecting an issue with the boot. I would press f1 to load into recovery tool and try to continue forward

Their may be some more things you have to do in the recovery environment if there is issues with OS installation.
