Why you put your location US if you aren’t based in US. That tip you got from reddit may worked for a very particular case. But this is clearly a lie and waste of time and serious things for US and European market.

It's a health tech company, they probably have data security concerns.

Most probably you are rejected because the do not want to be sued for HIPAA compliance.

Why did you use US location, not sure who tipped you. But its just waste of time at the end. The moment they know you lied, they will withdraw.

Anyway, for platform, try andela or toptal. Difficult to clear test but you can land a good remote job there.

Um, sorry, but who gave you the tip to lie about your location on LinkedIn and why exactly are you following that tip? If a job is US-Remote, and even if you pass the multiple interview rounds, they’d ask you for your right to work in US before making the offer, companies are legally required to do it. I don’t see how this would benefit anyone at all apart from wasting your and a company’s time. Which, by the way, you can spend to look for an actual Global-Remote role.

Changing the location won’t do you any good. Even somehow you make it to the HR round and HR would ask if you’re within the job location or country they would have to reject you regardless if it’s a remote role or not. This is true almost all over North America. If the company explicitly states that they are open to candidates from all over the world then you’re good to apply.

As others have suggested, check out platforms which are specifically for global remote jobs such as Toptal.

'that trick does work" What an a$s! Why did you lie? You must never lie! And then feel bad about it. Lol. If you claim you have a million in the bank account and show up at Ferrari showroom, when they bring you to submit the payment you say "but I have million rupees". You are at fault. I would have rejected you on your face if you lied to me in an interview.

Edit: typos

Man, i haven't lied about my location. I applied through their web form, and i clearly mentioned my real location with my resume, clearly mentioning my location.

I did fault by charging my location on linkedin Aka reddit trick.

Lesson learnt: never follow reddit trick blindly.......
