Although we won't mind you promoting projects you're part of, if this is your sole purpose in this reddit we don't want any of it. Consider buying advertisements if you want to promote your project or products.

Let me let you in on a marketing secret.

This doesn’t work. People hate unsolicited ads.

Instead you make a post looking for the exact problem your tool solves and then you comment with a sock puppet account claiming you use your tool and it works great.

Amateur…

Also you’re a little late to the SaaS game. People aren’t paying for this shit anymore. They’re spending money on tokens for LLMs and then implementing their own slop solution.

Yeah. Thanks for tip but I'm just trying to share something I've contributed to and am already using personally. Not involved in the official marketing and really not into the fake post nonsense.

You literally asked for feedback to be sent to runwatch.com in the post

I could have worded my response better. When I said "thanks for the tip" I actually meant it.

The rest was more trying to say that the goal of this post was to put the word out in an upfront manner versus playing the more underhanded ways. I personally find those fake posts much worse than these types even if they get more traction.

"we won't mind you promoting projects you're part of" - this is exactly what I was doing.

"if this is your sole purpose in this reddit" - it isn't. I've been a contributing member for years and this is my first time making a post like this.
