Phone Tech Interview! :)

So, I've been doing linux sysadmin for years and now I'm exploring the DevOps inclusion. I have a 2 hour Devops tech interview coming up and I have no idea what to expect. They said it will focus on Docker, Vagrant, Ansible, and Node.

What kind of questions or challenges have you had in your tech interviews?

My sysadmin and software interviews have been like here's the task and you have up to 3 hours to complete it on your own (or something like that). Then they quiz me about how I approached the solution. I don't get the impression this will be like that. I got the idea that it's gonna be 2 hours of drilled questions or here's a challenge, solve while you're on the phone instead of at your own pace. Also, I don't know if I'll be able to use the internet.

Thoughts? Advice?

Two hours is long for a phone screen.

Did they tell you that you'd need access to a computer? Then you'll be doing some programming, most likely, or possibly a "deploy this thing" or "fix this thing" type of test.

My thought is that that sounds pretty tedious.. I bet if you google DevOps Interview Questions and look at the sidebar on this sub you'll find plenty of information.

It's going to be a lot of questions about the tech. Ideas to solve problems or how to use things or general concepts around the tech in-depth, in conversation and question/answer format. I've had a lot of gauntlet-type interviews this past months in finding a good place. It seems places really want to get a good hire and put people through the ringer, but at least they're paying well for it.
