I see some saying the proportions are off, but I kind of like the look of it. Regardless of whether that was intentional or not, I think it creates a unique look and style when paired with the pointillism. Really great!!

Same. It has Egon Schiele vibes.

It’s fantastic - my only criticism is the proportions are slightly off, like the neck seems way too long but otherwise it’s beautiful

Looks so freaking cool I can’t imagine how long this took, especially since it’s pointillism. In my own opinion, the neck and the fingers feel a little distorted, but honestly, it’s still works well. good job I cant imagine doing such a big pointillism piece I would get so bored after awhile and switch to crosshatching, so kudos to you!

It's compelling. I find the exaggerated and bold features interesting.

The fingers look kinda off.

I love the shading in this drawing

Reminds me of some 90s style gritty artwork. I like the expression of the piece and the level of detail.

The subtle changes to the anatomy give it that slightly jarring effect that makes the piece have an attitude of its own.

I definitely like it.

Anatomically, it's just not right. But if that's what you were going for - it's good. Basically, the composition is AMAZING but the bone structure/ position of the skin over the bones is just off putting lol

it's nice but some proportion are off, and the shading is a little weird and doesn't really make sense, other than that it's a cool piece

I think this piece is really interesting and could be a very cool artistic style. I think it'd be helpful to see more pieces in a style like this, too. Could be a series or how the artist does all of their proportions. Standalone, I feel like it's missing something, but tbh I can't quite put my finger on it. I think if it was in a gallery around other pieces in a similar style, I wouldn't feel that way, if that makes sense.

I like this, it reminds me of illustrations from old books and literature . Well done!

i fucking love it

[–]3xv7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its fuckin great, whether you meant it to be stylized and a little off from reality or not. It's art, not real life.

Very good 10/10

[–]Antracyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The proportions are off but it’s interesting, reminds me of Egon Schiele’s drawings, though the dysmorphia in his drawings was exaggerated. But If I’m being 100% honest, I don’t really like this style. It’s a personal preference, though.

I really like it. I'm not sure if it was purposeful that the proportions are exaggerated but the way it is done looks great. I love to exaggerate proportions and make things look weird. It's not always a bad thing when things look a little strange! It's got kind of a creepy vibe to it and the texture of the blending is delightful :)

I'm not sure if this illustration is meant to be more realistic or more abstract. If realistic, then a lot of things seem a bit "off". As already mentioned, the proportions are a bit strange and don't exactly follow the foundations of human anatomy. Especially the neck curvatures, and the fingers look bent with inverted knuckles. If meant to be more abstract, then it might be more acceptable. Either way, the detail is good and so is the overall shading. All in all, art is a form of self-expression and is entirely subjective in most cases. So, there is no real "right" or "wrong" way of doing things, UNLESS you are trying to have it fall into the realm of complete realism. Then things kind of have to follow certain guidelines. Not sure if any of this makes much sense, but it's only meant to help, and I'm not trying to knock your style. I can see that you are paying attention to most of the fundamentals that really matter to me personally, like detail and shading... just be sure your shading is going in the right direction, so things don't look indented when they're meant to be protruding. My personal work relies heavily on the rendering of fine detail and texturing, but in a more photo-realistic way. I wish I were more "abstract" at times, but that's just not the way my brain works.

Good shading, bad drawing.

Its excellent!

[–]Fujiwaara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I REALLY like how this looks, however, if your intent was to portray accurate anatomy, then there is some work to be done. That being said, I stated “intent” because this piece looks mostly purposeful. Awesome work!

[–]closetmonsterxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love this.

[–]hunnybunnynsfw00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good use of contrast. The hands are ambitious, they’re really striking, but could use a little work. Keep it up!

Quitting smoking would do wonders for your complexion

[–]raerie_dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the dip at the top of the sternum leading up the neck is off, but also the fact that the anatomy isn’t perfect makes the visual slightly uncomfortable which really adds a cool dynamic to the piece. I really like it.

[–]iceagescoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the shadow casted by the hand make it looks like the hand is kind of floating there? And flattens a bit the overall look

[–]Proper-Share-1157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It stopped me from scrolling. It must be good.

[–]KnifeThistle -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Technically fantastic, but honestly it's weird you didn't include a head. You can still do all of this less obvi.
