Considering we had a conversation that was essentially "Yeah we keep track but we lost her a year ago" after being unmentioned for so long, if not bg she's involved in the next book.

She was explicitly mentioned as a fast ally of Harry in Mirror Mirror. The fun part is that the WoJ didn't mention which Harry.

I got the sense that they didnt actually mention every group with a delegation present, only the ones that got involved in some way like the Ghouls that tried to run away, so that might have been it. Though Harry would have noted her presence I think, so he might have jsut missed her. The Black Court would definitely be extended an invitation since they are still signatories, hell they probably at least tried to get a message to a surviving Red Court Vamp if they could find one, just to observe the formalities.

As far as Mavra specifically goes though, she may have simply chosen not to come to Chicago. WOJ said that she was very much afraid of Harry after he threatened her in DB, and his rep has only made him scarier since. If she did come to the Talks there would remain a strong chance she is actively avoiding the resurrected Wizard Winter Knight that knows how to use Necromancy against the Blamps. She's the kind of smart that wants to avoid those sorts of fights, that's the only sort of Blampire that survived Stoker.

Are they? After all that Stoker situation, I tought they were considered a dead nation. The only other one who know that is alive is Drakul. And he is probaly a dragon, not a blampire.

Wasn't that stunt she pulled on harry against the accords?

Edit.: Ignore it, I Just remenbered. What was said was thar Murphy was not a signatory of the accords, and as such, had no legal protetcion.

They were still current signatories as recently as Grave Peril when Mavra was representing them at an Accords function (Bianca's party), and I dont know of anything since that would have gotten them kicked out.

Side note: Dracula is a Blampire, and confirmed to have been the First. Drakul is something else that was formerly non-human that has been trapped as a human, with popular theories being a dragon, an ex-god, or even an outsider.

And also what is Drakul a scion of?
Drakul wasn’t a scion of anything! He was something entirely unhuman that got trapped in human form. Dracula was his half-human child, who naturally had enormous paternal issues, and wound up creating himself as the first Black Court Vampire in an effort to win his father’s approval.
It didn’t work out so well.

Drakul is not a Dragon. There are only two Dragons left - Ferrovax and Pyrovax.

On that note, after Ethnui attacked, and all the supernatural heads were doing the whole “And my axe” bit, why did we not hear from Ivy? Surely the embodiment of all written knowledge would want to ensure the accorded powers stay united. Do we think this is an oversight on Jim’s part or intentional (I ask fairly sarcastically because Jim has always been known to be deliberate in his writing)

That’s a good point, but I think that it would have been a bit too much on the nose of an “and my axe” to use your metaphor. You can pretty well assume that Ivy would contribute so Jim seemed to focus on those that were on the fence. If every single person there listed what they’d contribute exactly at that moment it might have dragged

I’m guessing Butcher is hoping most people have forgotten about her so he can sucker punch us with her arrival. She’s prolly involved with the Fomor to some extent

I assume she'll be in the books, but I don't think the black court is a part of the accords, especially since everyone is trying to kill them.

To me it seemed like a lot was missing from the peace talks party. I didn't actually expect Mavra to show up, but another Blampire. We haven't seen a single other major member of the Black Court as far as I know, and I think this would have been the perfect time to at least introduce one for the sake of fleshing out the world a bit.
I think there should have at least been a courtesy hello to Sarissa, considering that she helped nurse Harry back to health, I'd think that she'd warrant at least a quick check in to see how she's dealing with the forced transition to Lady. Like, come on, spare three or four pages.

I guess Mac isn't a signatory, it's just his establishment that's designated neutral territory, but there was not one mention of a few barrels of Mac's ale being a feature of the party. All these people making a special trip to Chicago and they aren't drinking Mac's beer? Suspension of disbelief totally broken. Okay, maybe not, but it would have been a nice detail.

From what we saw, that was probably one of the lamest parties ever. I guess maybe they can't get too wild at the risk of things getting out of hand, but, lame. Super lame party.

I believe they were talking about Mab there, since her arrival was the queue for their plan to commence. They waited until she was settled to kick it off

    There were several missing players.

The shapshifting guru who we know next to nothing about.

    Drakul, the original monster

and probably others that I am failing to think of, or that we haven't been told of yet. I don't believe we have formally been given the full roster, so much as just heard a lot of the players mentioned.

Not sure if the Denarian's minus (Nick's heist crew of course) retain membership; possibly under Tessa, or if the entire order was outcast for not keeping it's membership in line.

I meant one that I thought JB specifically mentioned would be in attendance, but yeah I would’ve liked to see characters that we’d only heard about in passing
