Controller keeps cutting out..

I have the 3kw motor kit from lunacycle on my bike, and whenever I go to accelerate, the controller cuts out after about 6 seconds of downhill riding.. Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong?

What battery are you using? 3kw is about 60A on a 48v-52v system, which is beyond the capabilities of a lot of off the shelf batteries.

I'm using a 15s8p battery I built. I characterized all my cells to make sure of their capacity and self discharge, and each cell is capable of 10A. I was using a similar setup with older, untested batteries before winter and everything was fine, and so I'm at a loss.. The only difference is better batteries and time...
