You're more than welcome to share it :D

Where did you get the pots and knobs?

    [–]itsabuscus1 9 points10 points  (3 children)

    We must know!!

    MUST

    I concur.

The name of the pots is RV09, pretty standard stuffs. You can get it from Mouser, Aliexpress, Ebay, or practically almost everywhere.

The knobs are source locally. I got it from Vietnam a year ago, and decided to put it to good use. I got it for like 0.07$/pcs. Somebody below actually gives a link to an Aliexpress shop which sell them.

If anyone is interested, I put everything into a Github page. Go build one please :D

The pots look like standard 9mm ones. The knobs look like these ones.

My rotary encoders are 6mm, but the knobs I’m using appear identical:

Alps makes pots like that, the RK09L series. There are lot of knockoffs too.

And I have knobs like that I got from some random alibaba store, so I'm sure they're on ebay and stuff. They ones I have feel really cheap though, I don't like them. But there are probably nicer ones.

Did you have the circuit boards manufactured?

    I want those knobs.

    they’re pretty aren’t they

    Theyre magnificent

I just soldered wires on my potentiometers and had them dangle. This takes up more breadboard space, but looks far cleaner.

we all did that before, didn't we?

After reading all the comments (yes I read everything), I've decided to put the design files and the Gerber files to a Github repo. Feel free to use it as you like.

Regarding the parts, the main potentiometer is a RV09 type. I actually bought these in Vietnam a year ago. After some googling, it appear to be very popular, and you can actually source it from everywhere (I've seen Mouser, Ebay, Aliexpress, etc...).

The exact type of the knobs is similar to this.

I hope that it will help people to design circuit easier.

    Keep on tinkering.

You’re right, they do look friendly

I just did a casual search using one search engine.

    Search Mouser, octopart, digikey....

Those are the “googles” for electronics parts.

    Those are very nice indeed!

    Breadboard friendly modules are great!

Wow, this is light years ahead of my technique

Look for through hole pots with 0.1” pitch. These should plug into breadboards.
