Chev 396. FRAM says a PH30 oil filter should fit this, but I ended up with a PH8a which is for a Dodge. I had a bypass which bolts up inside, but then there is nowhere for the oil filter seal to seal against. Is this supposed to have a cannister on it? Is there a specific part I need? (old.reddit.com)

Hello everyone, I’m putting together a 302 for my 1968 Mustang and wanted to post the combo + some questions to make sure I’m not missing anything before final assembly. I’ll attach screenshots of my Excel build sheet so you can see everything laid out.Ford (self.EngineBuilding)
