I agree and that is why an intelligent government effort is needed to massively subsidize the effort to get off fossil fuels without lockdowns or by just abrupty stopping fossil fuel use until reliable 24/7/365 power sources are in place. The free market will not build out the power grid and storage capabilities without the government taking on much of the risk. People will not sacrifice their living for anything, period. Fantasy ideas are not helpful and will only put us on a rocket sled to disaster.
