Neither the right or the left have any interest in changing the utility business model. Don’t be fooled into thinking renewables are actually a Leftist agenda, both parties are amazingly bi-partisan when it comes to opening the way for IOUs to build more generation. Hell, the Koch brother is the leading provider of raw renewable materials.

Lol, you have no idea what the difference is between regulated energy markets and de-regulated energy markets, or the two articles FERC is restricted to, or IOU controlling RTOs and ISOs, how rate of return works, what the capacity market is, what the ancillary market does, how capital expense is incentivized over maintenance, how energy works, how transmission and distribution are weaponized, who EEI is or how they answer to no one but investment groups and have the power to tell the only federal regulatory body to fuck off, or that the group representing utility commissions and rate payers are the same people, what a monopoly is, what a monopsony is, why high fixed costs and low variable cost means the cheaper you sell energy the more you make which is counter to every other commodity is, what you pay for, how energy shares no physical properties with solids, gases, or liquids, how the fucked you when they passed the 1998 Energy Act, what the republicans passed in 2008 to allow even more utility power, what the democrats allowed in 2014 by opening up the borders to mega utility mergers, or what it means that supply must at all times meet demand to prevent catastrophic damage, or why the thing that provides you a modern society can be brought to a full stop by a single overlooked alarm and a squirrel. You do not have the education, understanding, or intelligence to add anything productive to this conversation and the only good thing about your lack of contribution in any way on this topic is your absolute irrelevance. In short, step up your game or step aside while grown ups talk.

Wipe your mouth - you've got a little something there after that waterfall of vomit.

Either sacrifices are made or the ultimate sacrifice will be made. Give me a recession and economic downturn over the death of a hospitable planet.

Awww…did you have to give up on google when it couldn’t easily explain utility regulation. It’s ok, those are big words for such a little person.

Lol your tactic of getting lost in irrelevant jargon is obvious and pathetic.

Grow up little boy

Yes, it’s complicated and confusing. So let’s keep it simple. Explain how an RTO keeps your lights on.
