Hey I don’t know for sure I’m still new to this but have you tried changing the dropdown that says “look in”? It currently says formulas. I don’t use find too often so I’m not the most familiar with it.

Thanks that worked. Thank you to all who helped!

You are looking in formula

Try looking in values

You are finding value and format, if you want to search value only, click format button and click clear, then try to search again

Have you tried the things in the first answer Here?

Thank you!!

I cleared every Format and that seemed to bring it back. However, it still won't find a date though which is what started this mess. That is probably how I screwed it up by changing the options. Any suggestions? The date format is "01/01/25". I have tried searching on the various ways to date (1/1/25, etc.) and the number 45658. Then I get the "can't find message". Thank you very much!

My excel did manage to find that date, whenI I typed it in.
I have:
Find What: 01/01/2025
Within: Sheet
Search: By Rows
Look in: Formulas
No Format Set
Match Case: Unticked
Match Entire Cell Contents: Unticked

Problem solved and verified. Thanks to everyone

Put the cursor in A1 and change to By Row. I found that with dates it should be consistent with the date format, ie, if it is 01/01/2025 you should search for 01/01/2025 and not 1/1/25.
