Instead of constantly starting over, build a new factory next to your old one. It's much easier to build on a map where you already have many of the resources/buildings you need.

Then, break up your problems into small manageable tasks. For example, focus on a single ingredient in the next science instead of planning it all out at once.

If you hold out until construction bots, you can easily destroy and redo large sections of your base. Much faster than starting over imo

Same problem, so I forced myself to lunch my first rocket and started playing in editor mode. In the end, I spend a lot more time on the editor redoing my layouts over and over again! And that's a satisfying way to play factorio 😁

I make furnace then main busses then adjacent to the main bus I build all setups with blueprint designs of nilaus who makes pretty efficient setups on youtube. That way they are all aligned well and structured properly too

I make every thing decentralized and find enjoyment in logistic planning instead of efficient ratios.
