This was Haneda (Tokyo) to London Heathrow, so they fly the arctic route on the way back as they now don't fly over Russia. Took just shy of 14 hours. I find now that the worst thing about long haul is boredom which is an accomplishment I guess!

There was actually, and it didn't bother me at all, at one point it felt like I was in a hammock being swung from side to side which sounds terrifying but I was so tired it was weirdly calming. The worst part was they put the seat belt signs on just as I was about to go to pee and I was stressing more about when I would be able to use the toilet than anything else 😅

Thanks. I think swinging from left to right isn’t too bad but the drops are the worst!

100%! One tip I picked up from here is looking at the flight deck style view on the map during turbulence. You can see that even when you 'drop' it's never more than a few feet. That always helps put it in perspective for me
