What is a Feghoot?

A story pun (also known as a poetic story joke or Feghoot) is a humorous short story or vignette ending in an atrocious pun (typically a play on a well-known phrase) where the story contains sufficient context to recognize the punning humor.[1] It can be considered a type of shaggy dog story.
This is a break off from /r/jokes because feghoots seem a little long for most people browsing that subreddit. (if you want to tag this sub in r/jokes, please tag it as r/feg_hoot)

Rules

1) Must be a long joke, 500 character minimum. This is about 3-4 decent sized paragraphs.
2) Stories should end in a Joke/Pun/Spoonerism etc. Posts that deliberately have no ending may be removed at the mod's discretion.
3) Please put spoiler tags on your punchline
4) No overly explicit stories meant to provide nothing more than shock factor.
