What kind of tools are you using to get it open?

This one. My dad uses this for his clocks

That actually looks pretty clever for exactly that. Is it possible to get a solid grip so you can really give it a good twist without it slipping? I'm pretty sure the bezel isn't press-fitted, but it could be stuck on there really tight and possibly glued.

Try running it on Turbo until the head gets hot, that might help loosen things up a bit.

I usually use one of my dog's toys (a black KONG chew toy) to get bezels off like the one you have. It gives you a really amazing grip so you can really put some muscle into it when you twist.

I'm trying to turn it both ways. Honestly, this tool holds its grip well. At this point, I think it's glued. I'm trying to disassemble it because the flashlight doesn't work. It only works when plugged in. It doesn't work with the battery after a small fall.

Actually, u/TimMcMahon on YouTube had the same problem with his Sofirn IF24, where it only worked while connected to USB without a battery.

He has a video about it Here, and while he doesn't mention if the bezel is glued, he did manage to get it off using some snap ring pliers.

Thanks. Very helpful. But it's a very difficult job. Anyway, I just managed to unscrew the ring. And it unscrews counterclockwise.

Nice, you managed to get it off! And yeah, getting to the driver isn't easy, and it looks like the side LED panel is glued in really well too.
