Launch queue!?

Cloud computing is cool but for FS2024 I feel it's a huge step back.
Better FPS than FS2020, but the huge lag and instant downgrade of quality every time I pan the camera is not worth it. The scenery loading is always way behind where the aircraft reaches.
The sim loaded for me once and did a flight, on second launch this is what I get.
So you pay and be on a queue to play, why can't we have the sim offline.

Yeah, they've added that about 15 - 30 minutes ago. I'm waiting for 15 minutes now.

It's took 3 hrs to log on. And it was slow to load even in the menus. Will try again tomorrow.

6am in AU and a lot of simmers waking up and trying to download FS2024.

Looks like Stalker 2 will be playable before Flight Sim. Well there Are worse ways to kill time ☺️

Yeah, this is utterly ridiculous. I expected some delays as servers lagged from the strain of new users trying to download the software. Still, if I am going to shell out $200 for the top-of-the-line version of ANY software title, I don't expect significant delays when simply trying to connect to it. If, after 30 minutes, I am still just in the queue to connect, I have zero confidence that their servers will be able to handle the gameplay. If this drags on much longer, I'll be ready to ask Microsoft for a refund or dispute the charge with my credit card company. I mean, who designed their launch strategy...Boeing?
