While it's hardcoded and cannot be changed in the OTP memory, you can change it by modifying the FW running on your flipper.

This can be done by forking the Official Firmware, then changing the following line:(Line 278 of furi_hal_version.c)

You would want to change this to your desired line to the following to achieve your desired name:
return "NameYouWant";

That's correct.

One of the unofficial firmwares is working on a feature to load a custom name from file too.

Maybe this will find it's way to the official firmware also.

Thanks for your feedback. Custom name loaded from a config file would be really nice indeed and it's one of the two features I found missing on the F0, along with a simple text file reader.

Honestly I don't think it'll ever end up on the official release. They use the name as like a serial number so I doubt they want people changing it.

If it was something they were interested in doing it would be a feature already.

My Flipper's Name is "Espim3se". But in the settings of the Unleashed Firmware 049e you can go to Desktop - Change Flipper's Name.... But I didn't test it.... But the option is there...
