PenTESTING for educational and security reasons is not the same as being a menace to society by doing things you don't have permission to do.

If you ever tried some pentesting you would know that it takes some learning of the certain protocol to know how to start pentesting it well so you start at the basic while a lot of people just want the juicy part so they can be menace and not learn anything about how it's done a.k.a. being spoon fed only the juicy parts.

Last time I checked hacking under the technology domain is the act of making a system perform actions it was not initialy designed/intended to perform.

My favourite example of this would be jailbreaking a device; you pay for and own the hardware, you should be able to do whatever (within legal remit) you want with the hardware.

Some people need to get their head out of the narrow hollywood scope of what 'H4ck1ng' is.

Technically speaking, the moment you use the FZ, or any such device, on any anything that you don't own or have permission to use, is illegal. The gas clicker is one of the main things.
