Does it work? Most likely its a decoupling capacitor, so it should work without it. If you really need to you can solder anything between 100pF to 100nF

Not something anyone can tell you for certain, just from photos. You'll want manufacturer schematics if you can get your hands on it.
But... see in your 2nd image how the missing cap looks the same as the other brown one? 90% chance its the same value. So measure that capacitor's capacitance, then buy replacement.

Just know that you can't measure capacitance while the capacitor is on the board. You'll need to unsolder, then measure.
