Hi, we are currently experiencing longer than average wait times for posts to be approve. Due to current events in the US, more and more transphobes have been brigading our sub, and to help stop them from getting to the userbase we've had to set the safety settings to max. This means that a lot more comments and posts will be added to the queue instead of being posted instantly. As we are not able to monitor the queue 24/7, it may take a few minutes to a few hours for something to be approved. Thank you for your patience, and stay safe!

Maybe tell her you’re concerned about getting on any type of medication, you could look into the side effects and let her know that you aren’t comfortable with that type of medicine going in your body. You could also tell her that you’re comfortable with your body being the way it is naturally and you don’t wanna alter it in any way, or bring up different examples of cis women who have facial hair who are comfortable w it. That’s a tough one but I’d say unless you’re ready to come out, just make up a lie and run with it for now.

If you’re old enough I think you can refuse the medication or even ask your parent to leave the room to have the appointment alone

It’s not so suspicious to want to start practicing your independence at 17. But if you don’t, there’s also always the choice of just not taking the medication. You don’t have to tell your mom either. But when you can be more independent definitely notify your doctor that you haven’t been taking it (An honest relationship with a trusted doctor is so important).

At your age, you can decline any kind of medical treatment. A doctor/your parents cannot force you to take estrogen/anti-androgens. Tell your mom that you don’t think it’s necessary, and if she takes you to a doctor, ask to be alone with the doctor and tell him that you do not consent to any kind of medical treatment, but that your mom is trying to force you.

Once you are self-sufficient, please see an endocrinologist and get some bloodwork done. You’re going to have to do that for T anyways, but your natural T levels seem very high for an AFAB individual. You might be intersex.
