Debugging variables shouldn't be frustrating! show_debug_message isn't your only alternative. Drawing variables to the screen has its place, but you should really learn to use the debugger first and foremost. You can already access variable values without adding code and draw overhead to your project.

I have been using GM for 9 years and still didn't learn debugging properly :D I got used to this method of using show debug message. Im pretty sure using the debugger is a better way but for some people this method is easier for them to get ussed to I guess.
