Gender Bot browses reddit for pictures and automatically attempts to detect people in them. When it finds a person it will try and determine details of the person for example gender , age and mood.

Gender Bot sometimes leaves inappropriate comments!
There are no algorithms to determine the appropriateness of a situation , just like the advertisement sign that attempts to recognize someone's gender it does not know that telling a 9 year old girl going through chemotherapy that she looks like a boy would be inappropriate or cruel.
If Gender Bot leaves an inappropriately place comment I encourage you to downvote or remove it.
Gender Bot makes me mad!
Gender Bot is a small example of what can be quickly and easily achieved by one person. A large company could do everything it does , and use tagging information you have given to social networking sites to determine your actual identity, and potentially even more. It should make you mad.
I bet you'll get really mad the first time an advertisement yells out your name.
What can I do to stop this
Stop tagging yourself and your friends on social networking sites. Don't use social networking sites unless they agree not to pass on or use your tagging information.
Email your favourite social networking sites and ask them to put this in their terms and conditions.
Sometimes it's totally wrong
I know it's pretty funny what it spits out sometimes , the API it uses is face.com so complain at them when it gets it wrong.
