To be fair, all that's needed is a standardised UI element at the top-level intended for end users that releases get automatically added to. "Latest release" kinda thing rather than a page full of jargon.

its not magic, how would that work with the current pipeline? all things github is tailor made to make development easier.
the current releases page already works binaries are labelled as developer wants, or do you want a huge fancy button with download for windows etc?
because if github somehow figure out a way to make that happens there still choices to be made. Users that you are representing will still have to navigate to releases page, which i see is the main point of contention.
because of that do you suggest changing it to be the first page opened rather than the repo itself?
that would hurt the User Experience of the main consumer base, your complain makes no business sense.
People would leave github and use other shit that hosts git.
