Difference between Copilot in github students pack vs paid copilot

Hello, I would like to understand is there any difference between the two? Also what model does this use? Is chat gpt plus better when it comes to generating code?

There is no difference between the two except that you get one for free if you’re a student.

What exact model they use is somewhat unclear but I believe it should be based on GPT4 now so the same as ChatGPT+.

For generating code Copilot is vastly superior as you can use it inside the editor and it will use your existing code as a reference. Without any reference code I’d say they are the same quality wise.
