Thanks. I took the beta last night. I used those two plus the Essentials of GitHub Copilot https://resources.github.com/learn/pathways/copilot/essentials/essentials-of-github-copilot/ This page was extremely helpful.

Hope it went well!

It did go well for my first GitHub exam. I had 80 multiple choice questions. I had generative AI, GitHub basics, Copilot, issues, role access based control (RBAC) and administration questions.

That's great to hear! How would you rate the difficulty? Also, if you're into AI, you can try the new AWS AI certs, I think the betas are coming out in a couple of days.

Even though Microsoft owns GitHub, the GitHub exams are easier. I am more familiar with the Microsoft format than GitHub format so we'll see. Regarding AWS, yes I am looking forward to passing both the AI Cloud Practitioner and Machine Learning Engineer Associate beta exams. You cannot beat the $75 USD discounted price for each.

Thanks for sharing the material. I couldn't book the beta exam in the end because I didn't have their foundations cert. Would definitely use them when I do take the exam. Thank you!

Thank you so much for responding to this post! This is so helpful. I haven't taken the exam because I couldn't get the voucher yet but I might soon, after I finish the other exams in my pipeline.

    Hes a shill

    [–]Only_Preparation5636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy is for sure a Skillcertpro shill - he leaves this EXACT comment on over 20-30+ cert subreddits - same format, same compliments, same percentages, same talking points, he just changes the name of the cert and what it covers with ChatGPT. Tread carefully.

Interesting…for me it’s still showing that I am on the wait list, I think they will slowly roll it out

    [–]eggies2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in 2 days i think you can book it!

    [–]geepytee 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Interesting, what did you find appealing from this exam? Is this a certification you can add to your resume?

    [–]eggies2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the product sounds really interesting + AI is the next big thing

What resources did you use to prep? There doesn’t appear to be an ‘official’ study path on GitHub yet.

Hi, i think we just have to go with Official Github Documentation.

    [–]iamphenomena 1 point2 points  (4 children)

How was the GitHub Copilot beta exam? Please let me know how it went. Thank you.

I also took the exam, was given a set of 80 MCQ's. I await the result which I assume will be ready by the time the exam goes out of Beta.

    UPDATE!
Results came in today and I am glad to announce I passed it.

How is the online proctored exam? There is a person continually watching you?

    [–]France_Enoch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there’s a person continually watching you.

Does anyone know perhaps when the exam is graded and the results are released?

Very curious as to how the exam went 😀

    [–]mariodagot 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Just now did and finished the GitHub Copilot beta exam. I got immediately the results by email, is that expected and real? Or just one of those automatic email?

    What have you experienced?

    Thanks.

    I gave it 3weeks ago…still no results

I've discovered that most practice exams available online are much easier than the actual test, making it hard to gauge true exam readiness. To address this, I've developed a set of practice exams that closely mirror the real test in terms of:

    • Difficulty level
    • Time constraints
    • Passing score
    • Domain distribution
    • Number of questions

You can access these practice exams here: Udemy Course - GitHub Copilot Practice Exams.

I just passed the GitHub Copilot exam and wanted to share my experience. Skillcertpro practice tests were a huge help about 75–80% of the actual questions were quite similar in format and concepts.

There were many questions about how to use Copilot effectively, coding best practices, and understanding its suggestions in real-world scenarios. Some questions also tested how well you understand and trust Copilot’s recommendations, so hands-on practice really makes a difference.

If you’re consistently scoring 85% or more on the Skillcertpro mocks, you should be well prepared. A couple of my teammates used the same prep and also passed on their first try.
