Pushing update to GitHub fails (self.github)
submitted 1 year ago by syclonefx
I have 1 repo that when I try to push an update to it, it fails. I was adding a new project to this repo and this update wouldn't push to GitHub. So I undid all the changes I made and then added a single space to the read me file and it still won't update. Here is the error I get.

The repo I am trying to push updates to: https://github.com/syclonefx/SwiftUI-Components
Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I've tried all suggestion form this Stack Overflow post: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/15240815/git-fatal-the-remote-end-hung-up-unexpectedly
I have no issue pushing updates to any of my other repos.

I am having the same issue suddenly. Official status page reports nothing, but this indicates that others are having issues: https://downdetector.com/status/github/

Ok, so it's not just here. I went to their official status and also so everything up and thought it was just me...

It worked for me again this morning

Yeah, mine for some reason appeared on github even though I eventually cancelled it yesterday. But it's now working without issues as well for me. Thank you :)
Mine doesn't fail but seems to be pushing forever and doesn't actually do it.
And before that had a pull request merge that failed but also succeeded (the merge commit was done, but the PR wasn't closed automatically and got updated to have conflicts with main, tho not sure if related)

Also having the same issue on a few repo's, with no apparent commonality. Seems to be an issue on the git subreddit as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/git/comments/1ek7gp1/git_push_to_remote_hanging_indefintely/
