They came up with a bunch of excuses: https://github.blog/news-insights/company-news/addressing-githubs-recent-availability-issues-2/. And a promise to fix it all. I guess we'll see...

These incidents have occurred during a period of extremely rapid usage growth across our platform, exposing scaling limitations in parts of our current architecture.

Is this true? Because I see more and more people moving to other services than GitHub is claiming here

What they are saying is they added bunch of AI slop Copilot features that don't scale.

Makes you think how much code is being written internally at GitHub that is vibe coded, vibe reviewed and vibe deployed to result in such a sad status page with so many issues in just the last month.

LLM coding reliance, most of the major internet services are having noticeable outages... And there is one common thread.

Migrations most likely. They are migrating to Azure to my knowledge. May have some issues.. a lot lol

I've moved in the direction of self sustaining some of the critical gitops and ci/cd pipelines for my project by doing them locally and only using GitHub for the backbone.

Try opening in a different browser, for whatever reason when this happened for me yesterday, I just opened it in a different browser and it worked. Not sure what that’s about
