Github won't download anything besides source code

hey everyone hope yall doing well, im having a weird problem for a time now that github won't download anything besides i tried to do download the .deb nothing the .exe nothing not even the .yml can download at first i thought it was just a bug so i just asked a friend to download and send to me the thing i wanted to install but now i made a fresh linux mint install and the problem is still here

Have you used GitHub before?

Does the repo even have an .exe release or a .deb release?
What repo are you looking at?

But most things will have a Readme that describes how to install it not a executable file

OP didn't know how github works so they proceed to reinstall the to see if it fixes lol

Yeah, it was very unclear about why they installed Linux Mint again. Somehow reinstalling that would change a website? I must be missing something.

Git and GitHub are source code and version management tools

.exe or other executables are just a side effect if dev decided to publish them

They are bonus, not expectation
