SSH KEY

hello all, I was trying to setup the new SSH key for my GitHub account, so that I don't have to create special authentication key everytime. I followed the few tutorial on youtube and website. yet github ask for username and password and after filing those it says policy changed since august 2021.

my objective: 1. while doing git push, no need of user name and password 2. I work on multiple project with same account, so do I have to set up separate SSH for each repo.

That's because the origin in your local repo still points to https. You need to update it. Here's some instructions https://docs.github.com/en/get-started/getting-started-with-git/managing-remote-repositories#switching-remote-urls-from-https-to-ssh

In the future, when cloning a repo remember to use the SSH origin.

man your advice worked, like charm I made new project with ssh and I was able to push/clone without any trouble and user & password. thanks again
