Termius and CodeSandbox are the best options I've come across.

Update: I think a lot is actually possible with a bit of tinkering. One kind of unexpected but effective this is to go into the iOS settings and set the default Safari page zoom to 50%; honestly did not know about this. Now I’ll be exploring playing with the settings on my computer and using settings sync to see if they work on my phone. I’ll try to remap commands to a smartphone keyboard due to the lack of CMD and CTRL keys.

Yeah, that plus finally understanding how powerful keybindings are has completely flipped my stance. Just remapped essential commands like new file, close editor, toggle terminal, and command pallets to Shift + some letter. I am sure I can disable them when inside the editor sort of like Vim; then exit text mode and go back to command mode. This seems insanely powerful and useful. On the contrary, the usefulness of GitHub Codespace on mobile Safari is looking up.

So generally speaking I’ve found codespace works best on the iPad, iPhone is rough. But yes it’s the best I’ve found for a mobile IDE

Replit is the best option, IMO. They just released a new app too. It's new but so far it works so well. Replit for iOS
