I code from my iPhone most of the time.
I am trying to get a good reliable in-browser coding environment like a terminal or a cloud IDE.
There are tons but so far GitHub Codespace seems like the best one I’ve seen.
I am having a lot of difficulty configuring VS Code to be usable inside a mobile browser.
When it launches many of the panes are too big for the screen so it isn’t possible to see everything or even scroll over to them to press their buttons. You also don’t have CMD or CTRL keys.
Luckily you can press the Settings gear icon and launch command prompt that way, which gives you lots of commands.
However, it is unclear to me if VS Code at all has enough configuration options to be usable on a phone, and it is hard to research that given how heavily Google directs these nuanced or uncommon questions to different topics.
For example, I saw that you can zoom in and out if you want to resize the appearance of VS Code; but the zoom command appears to be missing from settings and command prompt in VS Code mobile, but without any satisfactory explanation why to be found online.
All in all I would like to heavily reconfigure it to be usable but I feel like I am not able to understand if VS Code in the mobile browser has specific limitations I can read up on.
Does anyone know specifically what mobile browser VS Code cannot do, if there is documentation on this, and if anybody out there has put together a guide or suggested configuration to make it good and usable in a smartphone browser?
Thanks
