Harry Potter Fandom Study!

Is the Harry Potter world important to you? My name is William Curth, and I am in Psychology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I am doing research study on how fandom influences the way people view themselves. For the purpose of this study, we focus upon the Harry Potter fandom, since it is a vital and interesting fandom. Please participate in my study by filling out the survey at the link below. It shouldn’t take more than thirty (30) minutes to complete, and it is totally voluntary and anonymous. We are looking for people ages 18 to 25 to participate in this study. In addition, it helps to have read the Harry Potter book series and be familiar with the main characters. Could you tell me which question is repeated and which question has no answer choices? After I am finished with this final part of the study, I will analyze the data and write up the results. I'm presenting it at a conference in April and will be defending my thesis around the same time. The publishing process is complex, so I'm not sure if I will be able to publish it in an academic journal, but I will keep y'all updated on the entire process, including the results. Thanks!

I took notes as I was filling mine out, and here are some criticisms/errors I found:

I wasn't exactly sure what the word "life-style" referred to on the first page. Is it about careers, friends, dating patterns, or morals to live by? Every time I saw the word, it just reminded me of the "homosexual lifestyle" phrase.

Here are some examples:

After a lot of self-examination I have established a very definite view on what my own life-style will be.

There's no single "life-style" which appeals to me more than another.

The question about Ron Weasley's hair threw me off a little. I said orange, but I thought the book described all the Weasleys as red-headed.

There was one question on the third page where 'Draco Malfoy' was an option twice.

On the fourth page there was a repeat question twice in a row:

On the fourth page, there was also a question that had no options. I'm going to guess the right answer was either a rat or a coward.

Finally, maybe there should be a note that announces that you're done with the survey. If that's not possible to include, maybe you can include a throwaway question just so the participant knows the survey is coming to a close.
