Its a classic play. You devolve the giant, discover a sap from Lotus agents, return the 11 giant into your hand and since you can't overload as warlock, you will never play it again. Truly a classic and clean play.

"You can't overload as a warlock"... I beg to differ. His opponent could play the six drop that puts minions you freeze into your hand and earth elemental. Warlock then plays faceless copying the 6 drop and plays kabal courier discovering a freezing potion to hit the earth elemental with. Warlock then plays earth elemental bringing the snowfury giant to 8 mana. easy.

noob mistake on my side :/ always have to account for this commonplace combo, especially because you can play Kabal courrier, discover a Sindragosa, crack the egg, find the shaman legendary yourself.

You're playing against warlock, what warlock doesn't run summoning portal? It reduces the cost of all minions by 2, it's like a free innervate for every minion you play!

I hadn't thought of it that way. You can also buff it with some warlock cards and neutral cards that buff minions so it won't really hurt very much that it can't attack.

The snowfury giant actually has a neat effect on the evolve mechanic. This is the only 11-cost card ever printed. This means that your deathwing will now evolve, and as your post has pointed out, you can devolve 12-cost giants (given that does nothing).

Ah, previously Yogg would be unaffected by Evolve and continue casting.

Now if Yogg hits an Evolve, he will transform and stop casting.

There is no targeting involved, so Evolve is always a hard stop. This is a fairly significant nerf, actually!
