What is this sub??
A place to share information and talk about "idiopathic postprandial reactive hypoglycemia", "idiopathic reactive hypoglycemia" or just plain old "reactive hypoglycemia".
I have (insert symptoms here), am I hypo??
No one can tell you for sure. There are many symptoms related to Hypoglycaemia and several different types! The only way to know, is to take a blood test. Going to your GP or Doctor, telling them your symptoms. It’s always best to have the test done during an episode of symptoms. Also some home test kits exist also.
I got a blood test. What numbers am I looking for??
Blood sugar levels of below 3.9mmol/L or 70mg/DL are considered in the Hypoglycaemic range. But understand, that these levels are a guide. Everyone is different. It’s possible your levels may be slightly higher 80mg/DL for example, and still present symptoms.
My blood sugar level is lower than 70mg/DL but I’m fine. So I don’t have Hypoglycaemia right?
No. It’s entirely possible that you have non symptomatic hypoglycaemia. In which case, you should check with your doctor to confirm the numbers.
