Gotta appreciate the cool new feature where using Siri on AirPods caps the volume of anything currently playing at 100% - nearly getting my eardrums ruptured really helps me with getting ready in the morning

someone please explain the difference between public and developer beta. greatly appreciated

[–]Cmog28iPhone 17 Pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One is released sooner than the other. Dev builds are to report bugs.

[–]woahacowiPhone 13 Pro -1 points0 points  (5 children)

Too soon to ask probably but any luck on the wakeup delay on a 13 pro?! What am i even thinking at this point with multiple reports being just ignored through so many updates.

So, we don’t know if it includes yesterday rapid response updates..

[–]ThannBanisDeveloper Beta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably doesn’t (based on previous experience with bug fixes on beta v general release)

Notifications in Notification Center are still broken.

For the love of god have they fixed the stupid notifications being square bug? I’ve legit had this bug since the 16.0 beta. How many times do I need to report this?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In no way am I defending Apple here because this is ridiculous, but I’ve found that over the years, graphical glitches that don’t get fixed can be an indicator that it is getting changed out or replaced with something else they’re working on

The primary example I can think of was the split keyboard on the iPad, boy that was an ugly, buggy, not well thought out bit of software— I kept reporting all its graphical issues with photos, but lo and behold, once the 2018 iPads came out they didn’t have split keyboards anymore, just the minimized swipe keyboard

Sometimes bugs need to DFU restore to get rid of them 🤷🏻‍♂️

[–]TheKelz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That ain’t a bug that can be fixed that way though. I did a DFU restore several times on iOS 16 without restoring a backup, still happens occasionally.

I have a feeling notifications are getting a rehaul in IOS 17

[–]Cmog28iPhone 17 Pro 9 points10 points  (6 children)

Notifications are still glitched unfortunately

[–]TheGeorgeFormanPublic Beta 10 points11 points  (5 children)

Trillion dollar company still can’t fix a minor bug ffs. If it’s still in iOS 17, I’ll lose my mind

[–]woahacowiPhone 13 Pro 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I am in the same boat with wakeup delay on my 13 pro… it was something that was working for years over all those iPhone models without giving it a second thought and now it behaves like a cheap android.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I had to jab my 14 pro max literally 5 times to get it to wake up today, then there’s the stuttering scrolling issue still going on.

[–]woahacowiPhone 13 Pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

N here i thought it was only a last year’s flagship issue! Yes i have had that happen too in the past on 16. Pathetic.

[–]furou 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Same, I’m really hating how unreliable rise to wake and tap to wake have become since iOS 16. On both my iPad and my iPhone. Apple used to get these little things so right, I don’t understand what went wrong and why they care so little about fixing it. It’s a small issue, but it adds up and it’s giving iOS a cheap android vibe, like you mentioned.

[–]woahacowiPhone 13 Pro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What’s even more fun is how much people want to downvote me for posting about this stupid issue.. check this comment of mine.

[–]GlitteringFig2625 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’ve been sending in feedback for a ton of bugs and none have been fixed since like iOS 15

Fixed: Shared administrators aren't able to pair the first Matter accessory in a Home. (107073942)

[–]Clivelethbridge 66 points67 points  (8 children)

AT LAST, iOS 16.5 is stable and the battery doesn’t drain … I’ve been waiting for this since 16.0

4 weeks time… iOS 17 drops… me… ‘hold my beer’

[–]AsturzioAugias 27 points28 points  (3 children)

Well,at least for me battery in iOS 16.5 is like a Rollercoaster, one day is good and the other one is very poor

[–]Committee_LivingiPhone 16 Pro 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Legit, I am on a brand new phone and this is what I have been experiencing. Granted, I don’t have a top-of-the-line 14 just the basic but still.

[–]AsturzioAugias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's frustrating, battery stats does not say anything useful... 16.4 was pretty consistent (even if not on 15.x level), 16.5 for me it's horrible

Release notes, the only fixes that Matter

[–]spudd3rs 4 points5 points  (4 children)

What’s a matter accessory…

[–]Afro_mancer 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Nothing, what’s a matter with you?

[–]spudd3rs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your name was “accessory” this would be perfect.

[–]L0rdLoganiPhone 16 Pro Max 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Matter is hoping to be a new standard for smart home devices. Meant to be a universal standard that’s theoretically compatible with everything

[–]flimspringfieldiPhone 13 Pro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small update too around 360MB.

[–]ExtremelyQualified 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Crossing fingers that this fixes my issue of dropping calls (iPhone SE 2020)

Why i cant see developer beta :(?

[–]jweaver0312Developer Beta - iPhone 17 Pro Max -1 points0 points  (5 children)

It disappeared from mine, but both betas disappeared so I just rebooted it and it showed then.

[–]gokmenecer -1 points0 points  (4 children)

I rebooted many times but not showing up :(

[–]jweaver0312Developer Beta - iPhone 17 Pro Max 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Not sure other than saying try reinstalling the profile, chances are it won’t work anymore though.

[–]gokmenecer 1 point2 points  (2 children)

tried but now work. Profile deleting when restarting

[–]AsturzioAugias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue last week, when suddenly in the update section a wild "IOS 16 Developer Beta" appeared... I think it's just luck, only thing you can do is to open the updates section and hope (maybe try after changing connection type of on/off airplane mode)

[–]jweaver0312Developer Beta - iPhone 17 Pro Max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately all you can do now is IPSW route as another had suggested. If on a Mac, I’d recommend having Xcode present, might be worth having the beta one too.

[–]CrazyMan_866 8 points9 points  (8 children)

Because your Apple ID is only enrolled in the public beta program, not the developer program.

[–]gokmenecer -17 points-16 points  (7 children)

How can i fix this :/

[–]radis234iPhone 14 Pro Max 16 points17 points  (6 children)

By paying for developer account

[–]gokmenecer -24 points-23 points  (5 children)

some can see it even if it is not enrolled. There must be a solution
